BabyVet Books

about dr. jaciara johnson

Dr. JaCiara Johnson (pronouns she/her/hers) is a veterinarian, wife, mother, sister in Christ, and the author-creator of the BabyVet Books series.

It has always been Dr. Johnson’s dream to combine her love of reading, veterinary medicine, child education, and community outreach. Motherhood amplified this desire to pursue her dreams, and work harder to create a world where her daughter doesn’t have to choose between her dreams and her reality. On the path to becoming a more fulfilled mom, and thus a greater mom, Dr. Johnson is learning to find what brings her joy, and pursue it relentlessly, one picture book at a time.

When she is not writing or working as a veterinarian,  Dr. Johnson can be found reading, watching anime, and hanging out with her husband Anthony, her daughter Katara,  and their two cats Vito and Neji.

ABOUT THE BABYVETBOOKS SERIES

Creating the book cover art and inner illustrations for BabyVet Loves Chocolate was so much fun. I love that the book is lighthearted & fun, yet very educational and detailed.

I am relentlessly fulfilling a veterinary dream of mine. Motherhood amplified my desire to pursue my dreams. It makes me work harder to create a world where my daughter doesn’t have to choose. Plus a great mom is a fulfilled mom. If I’m going to be away from my children for a job/ career, it has to be worth it. Be relentless. Find what brings you joy and pursue it with all you got.
